September 2009

Chartjackers is a new project from Hat Trick Productions and covered by BBC Switch. It is Broadcast on BBC 2 on Saturday afternoon’s, it also has its own YouTube channel. The series follows four YouTube celebrities in their quest to get a Song made and into the UK singles chart to raise money for Children in Need, the snag is they have no industry experience and no money. Not only that, they also aren't allowed to write, record or perform anything on the track. Can they succeed?

Jonathan Davenport, Head of Digital at Hat Trick Productions says,
"Chartjackers is a guerilla, inside-out take on the talent show format exemplified by The X Factor which pits four YouTube bloggers against the music industry as they try to bag a crowd-sourced number one single for Children in Need."

The 10x5 minute episodes have been Onlined and graded by Will Hodgson at Pogo Films. Bruno Ferreira, Pogo’s Designer, has been producing the Graphics and the VFX content for the shows and online, keeping a youthful and bright feel to the show.
