RED CAMERA FOOTAGE
The Red Camera has appeared on the scene in the last few years. It produces 2k/4k resolution, digital camera footage for the creation of HD and greater resolution programmes.
Their website helps to explain it in more detail. But should you care about it? We think so, yes.
Camera and format changes are occuring at a very fast rate, but red has captured the imaginations of new DoPs and by 2010, nearly 30% of Producers will be using it (Televisual survey August 2009).
Like any new method, it has implications across the board and we woudl encourage you to call us for a chat about working with it.
